Edinburgh Church Planting Conference: In This City 2011

Edinburgh Church Planting Conference: In This City 2011

Saturday 17th September 2011 sees the launch of a new church planting initiative in Edinburgh. This venture is being organised by the East of Scotland Gospel Partnership. Here is the blurb for the gig. Get along and support it if you can!

The EoSGP is holding their first annual In This City conference. In 2011, we are setting the scene and presenting the extent of the challenge our churches face locally and nationally. The focus is on church planting and we trust that at the end of the conference you will have a fresh vision for the East of Scotland. Local church leaders will be sharing their experiences in this exciting conference and we trust it will be a time for mutual encouragement.

Our key note speaker Richard Coekin is the director of Co‐Mission and senior minister of Dundonald Church, London. He is married to Sian, a GP and they have 5 children. Richard has been involved in launching numerous churches and other ministries, such as the London’s Mens’ and Womens’ Conventions, the 9:38 Apprenticeship Scheme and the Passion for Life mission. As well as providing advice and support he preaches regularly.

The EoSGP is a coalition of churches who seek to glorify God by promoting cooperation between churches in the East of Scotland. We aim to expand gospel ministry and encourage evangelicals by providing a network for support and training events with a particular focus on evangelism, apprenticeships and church planting.
