Many of London’s stateless youths came to the UK legally, but were never officially registered and as a result they have no access to education or social housing. Consequently, they often turn to crime or are often sexually exploited in order to survive. Researchers estimate there are 120,000 children living in the UK without legal immigration status and the need to take action as to help them raise their living standards is urgent.
