Sept 12 – Latest news from Edwin

Dear praying friend,

Greetings in the mighty name of Lord Jesus Christ.

I am back to you with some of the information about what we are doing here, and we do appreciate your prayers and standing with us. Salvina helps me with women’s meeting and at present half yearly exam going on and Fanny has just written her half yearly exam and she is done well. We celebrated Independence Day on 15th of August and we had a special cultural program, all 150 children participated and we invited their parents as well and I had the privilege of preaching and gave a message of libration from sin, the program went very well I think about 400 people participated including children. We still have a lot of rain, all the dams and lakes are full, some of the mud houses have been demolished in the villages, life has become so measurable, and hard, roads are broken. All together lives are disturbed. But by the grace of God we all are fine and teams are doing well in their respective places.

We praise God we had 16 outreach programs, 27 people responded to the gospel and we have spoken to them and introduced our house churches to them. And in September we had leaders of Good Shepherd Ministries get to gather in which 35 of us participated and brother Roop brought biblical doctrine and teaching on the family matters, all went very well and we worshiped with all the leaders together, and then in the afternoon we had a strategy session in which we discussed the ministry and outcome of the work and collection of the report and preparation of the work that how better we can do work in their respective areas and made agenda to do things and set up the goal for the ministry.

One of our pastors was there in the bank to fetch the money and when he got the money someone pick-pocketed the pocket of Sarmon Singh and Sarmon Singh lost some money. Any how we could not find out who took the money.

We are working to set up another permanent GSM children home and education centre in the Village Kesvapure so please pray for the house which we need and pray also for the other needs, for teacher and furniture etc.

Please pray for the provision of the 20th orphan children to accommodate there and a warden to help to look after the children. We want to furnish the house and maintain it.

Katie kids home is going well but we felt the need to build one more room and a toilet and fix the kitchen in the house, we are almost finishing but could not complete the work due to financial crises. Therefore we urge you to pray with us for the rest of the fund to come in to finish the construction work, we are in need of 120000/ we appreciate your prayers and standing with us, all the children and GSM staff send their love and greeting to you. God bless you.

Yours in His task

Edwin Simon
