Ian Williamson has spent most of his life working and living in Middlesbrough. Both he and his brother were raised by their mum and due to circumstances found themselves moving around a number of Middlesbrough’s many council estates.

Since becoming a Christian Ian has worked in prison ministry and set up the charity SixtyEightFive which takes the gospel to and supports people affected by fatherlessness.

He has studied with the Yorkshire School of Christian Ministry on their 4 year Christian Ministry Training Program and He also studied (and now facilitates) the Urban Ministry Program ran by Duncan Forbes and in Partnership with Oak Hill College.

In the August 2013 Ian and his wife Rachel along with their two children Hannah and Esther where “sent out” by New Life Church Roehampton to plant New Life Church Middlesbrough from their living room and by June 2013 the church had grown with many people attending after being supported by SixtyEightFive and they moved into a local church hall.
